Special Events: Sock Hops

JCC Sock Hops are held Uptown monthly and are a huge success attracting over 500 11-14 year olds per dance. Each dance has a live DJ from NOLA Entertainment who takes your song requests. Soda, candy and popcorn are sold at each dance for 75 cents, and photos with friends can be purchased for $2. The dance is held one Saturday night every month 7:30 - 10:30pm.

Upcoming Dates:
March 22, 2008
April 12, 2008

Cost:
$7/members • $10/non-members • $12/at the door (NM)

For JCC Members:
Members are invited to pre-purchase tickets at the Uptown JCC at the price of $7 per ticket. 150 members are guaranteed a ticket until 7:45 pm the night of the dance, unless we sell out before that time. Guests of members MUST have a pre-purchased ticket to stand in the member line with a member.

For Non-Members:
For each Sock Hop, 450 non-member tickets will be sold. They can be purchased in advance for $10 per ticket at the Uptown JCC or for $12 at the door until sold out.

For Everyone:
• Tickets are non-refundable.
• Everyone must bring proof of age and a picture ID. JCC members must also show proof of membership.
• Sock Hop Photo ID cards are available to purchase at the dance for $5. Proof of age is required.

Attention Parents:
The hours of the Sock Hop are from 7:30 - 10:30 pm. The JCC has implemented a babysitting fee for children who have not been picked up from the Sock Hop by 10:45 pm. The babysitting fee is $1 per minute per child after 10:45 pm. Parents must come inside the JCC to sign-out their children. WE NEED CHAPERONES! Contact Aliza Plotkin at aliza@nojcc.com to volunteer.
